Photography Seminar
On this sunny Saturday afternoon, youths from Tghanniqa, Siggiewi Scout Group and Third World group joined me for a photography seminar in Birgu.
The kids were thrown right into the world of photography by Greta, one of the photographers working with us in this project. Greta gave a brief history on cameras, explored photography as an art form and provide us all with some great tips on what we should think about when taking photographs. Coming from a marketing background, editing photographs is one of Greta's strong points and our youths all got a chance to manipulate some images.
Following Greta was Johan, a wildlife photographer living in Malta. Having been able to travel around the world on various photography expeditions, Johan put together a collection of beautiful photos of various animals for us all to appreciate. In his presentation he provided some key tips to make us all better wildlife photographers. He showed us a few examples of how he takes photographs and at the very end let youths check out some of his equipment.
It was a great session, and it was great to see the enthusiasm from photographers and participants.
