After a long break over the summer, Through the Lens picked up again to discuss about the wildlife found in Malta. It was a informal and informative session with Simone Cutajar, a researcher from the University of Malta. She talked all things bees, lichens and a bit about the interesting creatures you can find in on the ends of plants. Very hard to spot them with the naked eye, so participants got the chance to use the extremely powerful microscope!

Where Ms Cutajar works is a bit of a wild and natural place, situated beside a small Valley. We all got a chance to go for a walk and stretch our legs, and looking out for interesting things. After a short walk we got to take a look around the Bee Hives that Ms Cutajar was watching over at the time, and everyone had the chance to get up close and personal with the Maltese Honey Bees.

It was a fantastic day and here are some snaps.
